Treaty Day Celebration
| Rosie Cayou and family will be catering a meal on Sunday, Jan 22 at 12:00 at the Guemes Community Hall. Suggested donation of $10. A program on Treaty Day will follow. Treaty Day celebrates the signing of the Treaty of Point Elliott between tribes of the greater Puget Sound region and the US government. The treaty guaranteed native rights to practice their spiritual traditions and speak their own languages. Everyone is welcome. Sing a song or share your own family tradition or story. |
